Hi! I’m Danielle, a photographer and filmmaker based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Having started my career in broadcast television, I became drawn to more community based, socially engaged storytelling, and so for the last 10 years have worked on collaborative projects with a range of communities and organisations. Most recently for Amber Film and Photography Collective/Side Gallery, Tyneside Cinema, and Doc Society.

I have one foot in traditional filmmaking with creative leadership roles on work for BBC Three, BBC Arts and BFI, and work on my own creative commissions for universities, local authorities and other third sector organisations.

I’m a passionate advocate for the North East and anyone who lives here, whether permanently or in passing. I consider it an immense privilege to support people to tell their own stories, and will forever be beating the drum for regional arts and artists.
