This short documentary explores the history and restoration of a Torah scroll that is treasured by the Jewish community that look after it. We follow its journey from Pardabice, Czech Republic, into the hands of the Nazis, its rescue, and subsequent loan to a synagogue in Newcastle upon Tyne. Having been away for four years to be restored, it is finally returning home, much to the joy and excitement of the congregation who are celebrating by holding a once in a life-time event.
