One of a series of films capturing the experiences of people during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was scripted collaboratively with clinically extremely vulnerable people in Newcastle upon Tyne.
A young social media influencer who is clinically extremely vulnerable shares her experience of shielding with her followers. Amy struggles in the early days before a formal lockdown gets announced; the fear of Covid infiltrating her home, the inability to properly measure risk due to it being so unknown, and the possible threat loved ones pose. Amy also explores the impact of ‘freedom day’ and the lifting of restrictions on some people who are at higher risk.
